About Yamunotri Temple
The first stop of the Chota Char Dham, Yamunotri honours the goddess Yamuna near the source of her river high in the Garhwal Himalayas. Pilgrims trek up to the shrine beside thermal springs, where rice is cooked in the boiling Surya Kund and offered as prasad to the goddess.
