About Har Ki Pauri — Ganga Aarti

Har Ki Pauri is the most sacred ghat in Haridwar, where the Ganga descends from the Himalayas onto the plains. The Brahmakund here is believed to hold a footprint of Lord Vishnu. Every morning and evening, hundreds of priests perform the spectacular Ganga Aarti with large flaming diyas — one of the most moving acts of devotion in all of India. The sight of glowing lamps reflected on the flowing Ganga draws pilgrims and seekers from across the world.
