About Baidyanath Dham
Revered as Vaidyanath, the divine physician, the Jyotirlinga at Deoghar is among the holiest Shiva shrines and a Shakti Peetha. During the monsoon month of Shravan, lakhs of kanwariyas carry Ganga water on foot from Sultanganj to anoint the linga in one of India's largest religious gatherings.
