About Sri Maha Mariamman Temple (Wat Khaek)

Founded by Tamil immigrants in the 1870s on Silom Road, Sri Maha Mariamman — known locally as Wat Khaek — is Bangkok's principal Hindu temple, crowned by a colourful gopuram. Its Navaratri procession through the streets of Bangkok draws thousands.
