About Shri Salasar Balaji Mandir

Salasar Balaji is one of the most revered Hanuman shrines in Rajasthan. The idol is swayambhu (self-manifested) and uniquely depicted with a beard and moustache — a rare form of Hanuman. Hundreds of thousands of devotees visit on Saturdays and on Chaitra and Ashwin Purnima when grand fairs are held. Devotees tie sacred threads (moli) and offer chola believing that Balaji fulfils every sincere wish.
